Gloria was truly a great soul in the highest degree. She was one of my heroes, who inspired millions the world over and helped me become a better man. And I am blessed and reminded of her every day by my wife Jo, a charter subscriber to Ms. Magazine, who followed her dreams and fought the good fight for education and women’s equality. Here’s a little poem I wrote to her. Glory be thy name and legacy.

Another early subscriber to Ms. It was like sunshine getting into the basement and the door finally open. Looking back now it’s hard to fathom where we were then.
